Ultimate‘s World of Light is just this substantial mode that works to be fulfilling. Dharkon has the Bane of Light ability, which makes you more effective against light elementals, while Galeem’s Bane of Dark has the opposite effect. Both are Legend rank Neutral Spirits with no slots. (Again, it is a Neutral Ace Spirit with three slots and no effects.) Should you earn the True Ending, you get the Dharkon and Galeem Spirits. (It is a Neutral Ace Spirit with three slots and no effects.) Likewise, Master Hand is acquired in the same way. Crazy Hand comes from defeating that boss. Lots of Spirits are earned by completing this mode as well. You also unlock the "Galeem/Dharkon" theme. The menu songs are all added to My Music, allowing you to change the songs you will hear when you are in the menu. For example, one of the major unlocks has to do with the music. It looks like Masahiro Sakurai has listened to the fans wishes and is offering a massive single-player campaign for the fans who want to see a story made out of the biggest crossover event in gaming history.The other unlocks in place all involve rewarding the effort that goes into completing and mastering World of Light, which can help it feel worthwhile. 3DS/Wii U was the lack of any significant single-player content, as fans had hoped for something similar to the Subspace Emissary mode from Super Smash Bros. The fans originally thought that the end boss of the game was the mysterious Galeem, which is the Safer-Sephiroth looking creature from the trailers who wiped out everyone (except for Kirby) in the World of Light trailer.
